The Wafi Gourmet
We are regulars at the Wafi Gourmet. The servers get all happy to see us when we arrive. It is an amazing deal, 59 QR (Riyals) for an all you can eat Turkish dinner complete with drinks, kababs, fresh pita bread and our choice of eight different dips. Kids eat free! Too good to be true.
Nate is a popular visitor to the restaurant and also a big fan of the pits and hummus.

Inaugurate it!
They inaugurate just about everrything here, including the WOQOD petrol station by our place.
Too funny!
Qatar morning.
This is the Mosque that we pass every morning on the way to work. 5 am wake up, lunches, shower, get the kids up and ready at 6 am, breakfast, and out the door by 6:30 am, just in time for the sunrise. First class, 7:15 am. What the heck?
Just in case you were wondering...
..it does get cold here!
With no heat source, we have to be really bundled up at night. A sweater, JPs, a fleece blanet, a bed spread and another fleece on top. Apparently the warm weather is supposed to come back by mid-Feb. Not a moment too soon!

Couldn't do it!
Dusty is still with us. I could not bring myself to put him down. There is nothing wrong with him other than the fact that he doesn't have a home. Thankfully, our neighbours have taken him in. The kids and I take him for walks every night. He is the sweetest thing, but it is just not the right time for a dog. Hopefully he finds a home. We have posted his photo online and at school. Fingers crossed.
