Trip to Simasma Beach, Qatar

We made another trip to the beach for more data collection.  This time I brought the kids along.  It wasn't long before the kids were covered in mud.

At low tide, the mud from all of the mangrove sediments is really thick, and if you shake it up, the water comes to the surface and acts much like quicksand would.  It is a weird feeling when the mud squishes up through your toes.  Ais, Nate and my students just loved it.
