Personal Projects.

This is one of my Qatari students, Mohamed.  He did a personal project on the Desalinization Plant in Qatar.

The process takes water from the ocean, the salt is removed through a very expensive process, and the remnants are returned to the ocean.  The economic and environmental costs are high, but in a country where fresh water is not available, water extracted from the ocean is the only option.  

One day Mohamed will take over a leadership role in the plant.
